On a day when tributes to Muhammad Ali are pouring in from all around the world, here is my meagre contribution.  I bought this print two months ago at a Private View of photographs by Peter Angelo Simon, who spent some time with Ali while he trained for his world championship fight in 1974 against George Foreman, in what came to be known as The Rumble in the Jungle.  Peter explained to me that Ali had been out for an early morning run and was resting on these logs while he waited for the cook to make some breakfast.  Ali named his training camp Fighter's Heaven, which Peter had adopted as the title for a book of his photographs to be published in August this year, but now these words have a special poignancy.  For everything he did in his life, Ali will always be the greatest.
