LIKE NIGHT AND DAY

I've blogged before about my attraction to sources to light and in today's case it was the sun itself that shone through the glass roof of Stratford station and onto the Jubilee Line concourse, in marked contrast to yesterday, when the sky was so dark with heavy rainclouds (the remnants of ex-tropical storm Henri) that I had to switch on the lights at home more than two hours before sunset.  If you don't know Joni Mitchell's Shadows And Light, it's a timeless song that's well worth a listen.  Somehow it always used to make my stereo system sound much better than it was, and somehow it still does.
