I found myself at the Royal Academy again yesterday, between meetings and a Private View (as you do), and noticed this ideogram attached to a pole outside. At first I thought it was perhaps the work of a subversive artist inspired by Banksy's graffiti, but a few taps on my phone soon revealed that it's a bike stand, and part of a campaign by the British Heart Foundation to promote cycling in London. Piccadilly is normally a busy place for traffic of all kinds, but for a few seconds the street was empty enough for me to take this photo without any distractions. Can you feel your own heart beating now? I hope so.
