Many of you will have noticed mosaics of Space Invaders characters in your own cities, usually high up on the walls of buildings. I'd photographed several in different countries before I learned that these form part of a project by an artist who uses the name Invader. On what's unofficially become Star Wars Day, I thought it timely to post a photo I took last week of another of Invader's mosaics, which can be found on the corner of Curtain Road and Holywell Lane in London. To find out more about Invader and his work, please visit space-invaders.com. Once upon a time (but not in a galaxy far, far away) I re-programmed the Space Invaders game for the IBM System 34 minicomputer I was then employed to write software for, but only after normal working hours, if I remember correctly.
