I had a few minutes to spare on the way to the tube station at Oxford Circus last night so I took the opportunity to collect a few more handheld long exposure shots, a practice that's interested me since I was a child.  There's something about the unpredictability and unrepeatability of the results that somehow gives them extra significance as photographic records.  This time I concentrated on the brave cyclists who steered their way across this busy junction, around the buses and taxis and (in many cases) through the hordes of Christmas shoppers who had come to see the lights, but perhaps not the same ones that I wanted to see.
