This is Andrew Dubber, the appropriately-named Professor of Music Industry Innovation at Birmingham City University and host of this weekend's Music Tech Fest which began yesterday in the LSO St Luke's in London. It's an annual forum for musicians, innovators, hackers and fans (like me) to exchange the latest ideas in technology-enabled music. For me the highlight of Day 1 was a demonstration by Hugh Jones (aka Crewdson) of his Concertronica, a highly complex MIDI controller built in the style of a traditional Concertina. To see and listen to Crewdon, please visit crewdson.net and to find out more about Music Tech Fest, please go to musictechfest.org. On that site you can find live and archived video streams of the sessions (technology permitting).
