BACK TO MY ROOTS

I visited my schoolfriend Bob in his allotment yesterday and suggested to him and the other allotment holders that I could go there once a month until the end of this year to make portraits of them, and to feature the fruit and vegetables they grow, as well as the changes in the seasons.  Everyone seemed enthusiastic so that's another personal project for the list.  In the meantime I've posted Bob's portrait to my 500 portraits gallery.  He wouldn't let me leave without giving me the cabbage in the photograph, and a bag of Jerusalem artichoke tubers which I've just washed and will peel later (some more easily than others) for soup.  And as last night was Burns Night, haggis, turnip and potatoes were obligatory.  In Robbie's words, I was na fou, but just had plenty.
